  1. President Obama is a good speaker because he has had a lot of practice. If I could give your class one piece of advice it would be to practice, practice, practice.

A good speech has expression, some gestures and
emotions. People put a little bit of comedy into it. An effective pause helps to get attention before Barak Obama said his catch phrase “Yes We Can,” which was repeated several times. I believe speaking with confidence is a key thing. This video shows all of these things.

  5. Obama puts so much emphasis and meaning into his words, I think the success of his speeches is caused by the fact that everything he says is backed up by a confidence in himself and what he states. I have learnt from this video that to make something stick in the minds of your audience you should use a catch phrase and repeat it throughout your speech so people will remember it. Another thing that is also very effective is dramatic pauses before and/or after a vital piece of information etcetera.

His speech is made out of strong words, strong message and effective pauses “yes we can”. Mr Obama has got great enthusiasm, independence, and integrity in his speech he also has a very strong catch phrase.

  9. To make an excellent speech you need to use pause to create tension. You to speek up so the crowed con hear you loud and clear and you should talk slow and not too fast.

  10. You need to look at the crowd when you are giving a speech. You will need to talk clearly and if you were making a speech you need to have a topic that you are really interested in.

  12. You need some humour e.g. Chuck Norris and also you could use a catch fraze like Barak Obama did. You need to speak clearly and slowly so the audience can understand you. Also, I recommend you are enthusiastic.

  14. I think that a good speech ha sgood volume and a very smart short word phrase. You need to use expression Obama shows confidence getting up saying a speech to his country. I think it's a peruasive speech. Confidence is a good thing to have when saying a speech because most people are too nervouse to get up and speak.

  15. I think that the key to a good speech is loud volume, lots of eye contact and to know your speech off by heart thats why Barak Obama is my favorite public speaker. He also put alot of energy into it and he has an exellent catch phrase.

Obama has confidence and a nice loud voice. He speaks clearly and obviously likes his speech topic. Obama used a catch phrase and he really got his message out there. I think this is a good example for other people.
